Are you looking for ways to make your workplace more sustainable? Whether you’re an employee or an employer, there are so many things that you can do to reduce waste and create a more eco-friendly environment. We are currently developing EC(h)O-CULT, a project about sustainability and we are collecting ec(h)o- sustainability pills to share with you. Here are three tips to create an eco-friendly workplace:
1. Avoid single-use plastic products
This might sound obvious, but one of the easiest things to do to reduce your office’s environmental footprint is avoiding single-use plastic products. If you are an employer, you can provide your employee with reusable items, such as cutlery, cups and mugs. If you are an employee, you might have some of those merchandising at home and you can bring it with you at your workplace!
2. Buy in bulk and reuse containers
If you wish to reduce packaging waste, we recommend buying bulk supplies, using your reusable containers. You could buy coffee, cleaning products or snacks in bulk. Doing so, you don’t reduce only your waste, but you can also save money!
3. Adopt a “digital first approach”…
…which means that you prefer not to print files that you can storage online! Like that, you will save electricity, paper and consumption.
By making this small changes in your lifestyle, you can have a positive impact on the planet, reducing your waste production.
