After long lethargic months, the Erasmus+ Students and Alumni Alliance (ESAA) has been reactivated and is ready to launch new actions for Erasmus+ students, volunteers and professionals.
What is ESAA?
For those who don’t know it, ESAA brings together all European Union funded exchange students and alumni and offers a dynamic platform for networking, professional development and intercultural learning. It was created upon initiative of the European Commission in 2016 when it was co-founded by the garagErasmus foundation, La Erasmus Students Network, La Erasmus Mundus Association and OCEANS (the organization for cooperation, exchange and networking among students). After years of intense activities and activism, ESAA entered in a pause phase, as a new service provider was being selected by the European Commission. Now that the new provider has taken up its duties, the Alliance is back on track!
So what now?
Last month, a delegation of garagErasmus attended the ESAA kick-off meeting in Brussels for the new cycle. The result? New events, new call for volunteers and call for projects twice a year are going to be launched! You will need to keep following our social media channels and this newsletter to be the first to know when and where all this is going to happen ;-).
Do you want to volunteer in ESAA for garagErasmus?
ESAA has changed its internal structure and new Task Forces will be established to run ESAA actions alongside with an ESAA pool of experts in charge of evaluating project proposals. These bodies will be composed of members and volunteers of the four ESAA organisations, including garagErasmus.
Are you a garagErasmus activist and wish to embark in a great pro-level adventure to make Erasmus even better for everyone? Have a look at the ESAA call for volunteers. Positions are open for the following:
- Task Force Communication
- Task Force Capacity Building
- Task Force Project Officers
- Pool of Experts.
Are you a member of our gE4s?
ESAA is finalizing a completely redesigned project-funding scheme. Throughout the year there will be a lot of opportunities for you to submit project proposals of various sizes, both individual and in partnership with members of the other ESAA organisations. More information will be available very soon, get ready!
