On 29 October 2019, garagErasmus organised the third edition of “International Talents Match – 10 minutes to convince the recruiter”. The event was held at the EXPONOR Exhibition Centre in Matosinhos (Portugal), during the Feira Internacional do Porto, in cooperation with the University of Porto and Erasmus Student Network Porto (ESN Porto)

The main goal of this format is to provide more opportunities for young, international-mindset students in order to find their dream job and emphasize the importance of an international experience in job search. This is the reason why gE Foundation invited recruiters from big companies such as Continental, Faurecia, Sonae and Grupo Casais, which kindly participated in our event in order to find perfect candidates for current vacancies.

Before the interviews, all participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with companies’ profiles thanks to their presentations. Later on, 30 Portuguese and International young professionals -including many Brazilians- had ten minutes to present themselves and convince the recruiters that they have the most suitable profile according to their needs and, therefore, have the chance to be contacted back for a complete interview.

Our WeTipp online community – where students can interact with each other after their mobility experiences – was also presented during the event.

After the interviews, two candidates – both former participants of an Erasmus study exchange– and one recruiter had the opportunity to release a short interview showing their enthusiasm and appreciation for the format and the outcome of the event, encouraging international students to apply to the upcoming editions of this format and inviting students to join our online platform to check all the job offers that are regularly published there.

This Internationals Talents Match in Porto was a great success, and we would especially like to show our gratitude to all the organisations (ESN Porto, University of Porto), companies and participants who made it possible.
