Fabrizio Bitetto
President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Fabrizio Bitetto has been Chief Executive Officer of the garagErasmus Foundation since August 2017 and is Executive Chairman since September 2023. He was an Erasmus Student in 2008. He took a Master degree in Urban Planning and Policy Design at the Polytechnic University in Milan in 2013.
Alors qu'il était encore étudiant à l'Université, Fabrizio a lancé sa propre activité d'administration d'immeubles. Parallèlement, il décide de poursuivre son expérience Erasmus en soutenant des étudiants Erasmus, d'abord à l'Université Polytechnique de Milan, puis en tant que président d'Erasmus Student Network Italie. Au cours de son mandat de président national, il a coordonné la participation d'ESN à l'EXPO 2015 en tant que participants de la société civile et a promu l'approbation d'une loi nationale accordant aux étudiants italiens Erasmus à l'étranger le droit de voter à distance. Il a commencé sa nouvelle aventure avec la Fondation garagErasmus en 2016.
Valentina Presa
Directrice du Secrétariat
Valentina Presa has a European Law Studies background ; after an Erasmus exchange at the ULB of Brussels, she engaged in the Erasmus Student Network, joining both the local and national boards of the association, organising events and coordinating the membership.
An expert in project applications and management, she has been the Director of the Union of European Federalists until 2020 (Bruxelles), while volunteering for garagErasmus Foundation as project manager since 2017.
She’s now the Director of garagErasmus Foundation, managing the secretariats, applications for funding, implementation, follow up and networking for European Projects.
Carlo Bitetto

Carlo Bitetto is the Network Manager of garagErasmus. He has been Director of garagErasmus in 2016, when the Foundation moved its headquarters to Milan. Born in 1983, Carlo got a Master degree in International Law at the University of Milan in 2011 and perfected his legal education with a Diploma at the Graduate School in Legal Professions in 2013.
Son amour profond pour le monde Erasmus s'est éveillé pendant sa période Erasmus en tant qu'étudiant à Pampelune, à l'Université de Navarre en 2008/09, et s'est poursuivi avec un stage Erasmus à Dublin chez AXA-MPS. Entre 2009 et 2015, il a rejoint le réseau Erasmus Student Network, d'abord au niveau local puis au niveau national. En décembre 2012, il est élu président d'Erasmus Student Network Italy, où il coordonne 50 sections locales, gère les projets et les relations avec les acteurs institutionnels et privés.
Carlo est actuellement responsable de la communication et des événements de la faculté de médecine San Paolo de l'université de Milan, où chaque jour environ 1000 étudiants, doctorants, chercheurs et professeurs développent leurs études cliniques et précliniques, déposent des brevets et coopèrent avec des partenaires internationaux.

Nunzia Di Francesco
Project Officer
Nunzia is Project Officer at garagErasmus Foundation office in Vicenza. She studied Foreign Languages at the University of Pisa and Economics and Management of Arts and Cultural Activities at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, where she developed skills in project management, governance and economics. After several experiences in France, the UK and Turkey, she was President of a local ESN section in Italy for two years, involved in activities focused on skills and employability, and decided to develop her skills in European project management and EU policies. As a student, she worked at the International Relations Office of the University of Pisa and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, assisting in the management of international and Erasmus+ projects. She has also worked as an intern at Europavox Association, where she was in charge of assisting in the management of the Europavox project funded by the Creative Europe Programme. She’s currently responsible for co-designing, managing and reporting on projects.
Ilaria Ballarini
Communications Officer
Ilaria developed her digital and graphic skills in a small publishing company in Italy while obtaining her Master’s degree in Languages for Communication in International Enterprises and Organisations. After years of working in local contexts, including a civil service position at UNICEF Verona, she decided to embark on more international experiences with institutions dealing with issues she supports and cares about such as cultural exchange and human rights. To build experience in the field, she took up internships in communication at The International Union of Cinemas and the UNHCR office for EU Affairs in Brussels and the Fundamental Rights Agency of the European Union in Vienna.
Maria Giovanna Ceo
Communication and Project Officer
Maria Giovanna is a Communication and Project Officer at garagErasmus in Brussels. During her studies in Tourism and Journalism, she had the opportunity to be an international student in France, studying at four different French universities, and also being an Erasmus student in Poland, where she fell in love with the country. Before joining the team, she lived in Hungary, where she carried out a project as a European Solidarity Corps volunteer in Budapest, where she helped an NGO with communication. She is in charge of communication and dissemination activities and supports managing EU fund projects.
Susanna Rosin
Administrative Officer
Susanna is Administrative Officer at garagErasmus Foundation office in Vicenza. She studied Business Administration at the University of Verona and Management, curricula Innovation and Marketing, at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. During her studies, she experienced different internships in the field of administration and communication, thanks to which she developed skills in events management, marketing, and economics. After an Erasmus+ experience in Portugal, she decided to become a specialist tutor for the International Marketing course at Ca’ Foscari University, to have the possibility to share with younger students her passion about travelling and exploring different cultures. She’s currently responsible for managing the administrative affairs of the Foundation and its branches and for compiling reports on projects funded through various European, national, and local programs.
Nicola Fusca
Erasmus Intern
Nicola is currently an Erasmus Intern at the garagErasmus Foundation. He is studying Modern Languages and Cultures with a business focus at the University of Urbino Carlo Bo. Born in Colombia to Italian parents, his multicultural background and his passion for travel led him to move to Italy in 2015 to pursue a degree in Graphic and Illustrative Arts. Over the past ten years, he has lived in various Italian cities, eventually settling in Bologna, where he participated in the “Brown in Bologna Program” of Brown University for the past two years. This cultural exchange program involved guiding international students and providing full immersion in the Italian language and culture. These experiences deepened his interest in international environments, leading him to choose the garagErasmus Foundation for his university internship, which he views as a gateway to future professional opportunities in a European and international context.
