On the 28th of May, on World Menstrual Hygiene Day, the winning project of Laissez-Passer 2023Empowering Girls Through Menstrual Hygiene Awareness” kicked off in Ghana!

The project, implemented by Nelly Sakyi Hagan, aims to support girls living in rural areas in Ghana by raising awareness about menstrual hygiene and providing essential menstrual supplies. In fact, in many rural areas, the lack of access to menstrual supplies and proper hygiene education can lead to significant barriers in a girl’s educational journey. Misinformation about menstruation often forces girls to miss school during their periods, hindering their academic progress and personal development.

We are extremely proud to support this project, whose ultimate goal is to promote education and improve the lives of girls living in rural areas!
