Next Thursday 18 November at 5:00 p.m. an event will take place at the Secondary School Juan de la Cierva y Codorníu in Totana (Murcia) with students between 14 and 17 focusing in climate change and the environment. The event will be focusing in climate change and the environment and will be conducted by the secondary school teacher María José García Cano (eTwinner, winner of the European Quality Label for her latest eTwinning project, coordinator of the Erasmus+ projects in her school and Ambassador for the Future of Europe in Spain), in collaboration with other teacher, the intervention of the MEPs Marcos Ros and Pilar del Castillo and the president of the Autonomous Council of the European Movement in the Region of Murcia, Teresa Allepuz.
This event is aimed at informing young people about the actions that the European Parliament is carrying out in environmental matters, as well as promoting youth participation in terms of the contribution of ideas, suggestions, opinions … which will be transferred to the Conference on the Future of Europe, #CoFoE.
Under the title “For a sustainable Europe”, the event will first explain what the Conference on the Future of Europe is and why it is important for young people to participate in this type of action open to citizens; the theme of the event will be related to the Erasmus + project on sustainability that is being carried out at the secondary school; there will be a reflection on how Europe deals with issues related to the environment, climate change and sustainability and finally, the prizes of the photography contest will be awarded that is being carried out with high participation.
