Learning Garage: Green Skills Edition

Overview on the project

The event titled “Learning Garage: Green Skills Edition” is a training organised by garagErasmus Foundation under the EC(h)O-CULTURES project (grant code 101147953 CERV). It took place in Brussels (Belgium) from 30 March to 2 April 2025. The target audience: young people from across Europe interested in sustainability, climate action and acquiring “green skills”

Learning Garage Objective

  • The training consisted of interactive sessions delivered by subject-matter experts. Example trainers:

    • Oscar Fernandez Gonzalez (Asociación Sociocultural BreGal) — on EU sustainability policy.

    • Nancy Chadwick (Generation Climate Europe) — on crowdfunding and practical green projects.

    • Friederike Moeller (Green European Foundation) — on advocacy and sustainability structures

  • Practical exercises: participants worked on how to translate green skills into concrete action and explored how to present these skills in job or project contexts.

  • Cultural and experiential learning: a city-hunt in Brussels and a visit to the House of European History for contextualising sustainability in European culture.
