Every year, over 300,000 students, staff members, and beneficiaries take part in life-changing experiences through Erasmus Mobility programs. These experiences go beyond academic learning, allowing participants to enhance their personal growth and develop soft skills such as adaptability, communication, and cultural awareness. Yet, despite their academic value, often appreciated by recruiters, these soft skills often go unrecognized in a formal context.

This gap in recognition is what the Erasmus Mobility as micro-credential  (its acronym is ERASMUSNESS) project seeks to address.

Formed by a consortium that includes garagErasmus Foundation, Ovidius University of Constanta, Czech Technical University in Prague, Toulouse INP, Dokimazo, and the University of Siena, the ERASMUSNESS project aims to formalize the importance of soft skills gained through Erasmus programs using micro-credentials, an innovative way to certify specific learning outcomes from short-term experiences.

By providing participants with digital badges that validate their soft skills, the ERASMUSNESS project goal is to ensure that soft skills achieved during Erasmus mobility are formally recognized and can be showcased in the job market.
